My Favorite Time-Saving Hair Products For Busy Moms

Raise your hand if you're always the last one to get ready for an event or outing. As moms, we often see to everyone else's needs before our own, especially when getting ready for events where we're required to look presentable. I've personally gotten my make-up routine down to a science, but I somehow always manage to forget about my hair. And I have A LOT of hair...

Fortunately, I have found a few core hair products that have saved me time and again. Some of them I use on a weekly basis, while others I whip out for special occasions. But with nice weather just on the horizon and the slow lifting of pandemic restrictions, weddings and other events are in our future. Whether you plan to go to one event or several, you still owe it to yourself to look nice - especially after being holed up for a year!

In this post, I'll share with you my favorite time-saving hair products that are must-haves for busy moms who are always putting their appearances last.

My Favorite Time-Saving Hair Products for Busy Moms

If you haven't discovered dry shampoo yet, let me introduce you to your new best friend! Sometimes we have literal minutes to shower, fitting it in between breakfast and grocery shopping while our kids are quietly entertained by Paw Patrol. Some of us (me) haven't been brave enough to chop off all our hair to make shampooing a happening thing during every shower.

I love my Dove Dry Shampoo because it refreshes my hair until I actually have time to shampoo it. It makes me feel human and less like a greaseball, and it smells amazing!

Holy Moses! Let me tell you how AMAZING this thing is! When I go to the salon, it takes the stylist a good half hour to dry and style my hair. I told you. I have a lot of hair... I had all but given up trying to blow dry my hair at home because I could never get it completely dry, it would frizz, I couldn't manage the brush and hairdryer at the same time, etc.

This product combines the hairdryer and brush into one instrument and has three different settings with which to dry your hair. I can now dry and style my hair in the same length of time as the stylist at the salon - and I'm not even a professional! The Belita Amy Hair Dryer Brush keeps my hair smooth and frizz-free and gives me salon-quality styling without taking hours. Bonus: it comes with three scrunchies for your 90s nostalgia needs.

For someone with a ridiculous amount of hair, curling it with a standard curling iron can take me upwards of an hour or more. Hot rollers have saved me! I recently upgraded from a 1970s vintage set to this Conair set at Christmas (thanks, mother-in-law!) It's so compact and easy to use. I love that everything is contained neatly inside for easy storage. I turn it on to warm before getting everyone ready, then set my hair while I get myself ready. The longer you keep them in and the hotter they are the tighter the curls will be. I usually spray my set curls with hair spray before taking them out to make sure they hold as long as possible.

Whether you choose to use them every day or only for special occasions, these products will definitely save you time and will make you feel semi-human. You know, like you used to feel before having kids! What are some of your favorite time-saving hair products?
